With today's high petrol cost and our dependence on personal transportation, we understand your concern over fuel consumption. Hyundai as a responsible company is actively involved in research on fuel efficiency and also developing other alternative fuel vehicles such as Hybrid and fuel saving technology.
By virtue of Hyundai cars being sold worldwide and having to comply with the latest stringent fuel economy standards, especially that of US and Europe with their minimum fuel efficiency standards, all latest Hyundai cars comply with the latest standards.
To address any possible rumours, hear-say evidence and your natural mistrust over "manufacturer or distributor claimed" figures which may have some element of bias, we have endeavoured to provide you with INDEPENDENT data as well as source reference. This is to help you make informed decisions based on accurate and reliable data.
The independent sources that we refered to for such data includes amongst others:

When reviewed in the light of data from independent bodies (independent tests), we are confident that the latest Hyundai cars that we market are as energy efficient as the leading Japanese cars in the market. As with any data and tests, please note that each country's test procedures are unique to that country and as such the data are only comparable against vehicles marketed in the same country. Why? Because, petrol standards are different, combination of city and highway driving weighting may be different, temperature and environmental differences exist as well as test equipment in each country may differ. However, results and their subsequent position in any ranking is normally consistent from country-to-country.
As a result please take note that the comparison that we provide are meant to be used as a guide over comparative performance for our Hyundai car over other competing brands.
